Application For Permit Pistol Permit Information To obtain a pistol permit from the Russell County Sheriff's Office, you must complete the pisol permit application and turn it into the Russell County Sheriff's Office between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements, and applications can take from 3-4 weeks for approval. Must be a resident of Russell County. No convictions for violent crimes.
