Bonding Out Of Jail

A person arrested may have a bond set immediately upon being booked into the jail. Some charges require a court appearance before a bond is set. If the arrestee has a bond, you can bond them out of jail one of three ways (some bonds may be cash bonds and require a money order).

1) Cash Bond : You must present a money order in the amount of the bond to the jail.

2) Property Bond : Property must be located in Russell County, Alabama. The assessed value of the property must be equal to or greater then the amount of the bond. The arrestee must not be one of the property owners. Felony charges require two property owners and signatures.

3) Bondsman : You can contact a bondsman who will charge a percentage of the bond amount. The Russell County Jail does not endorse or recommend any bonding company, nor do we know the percentages charged by any bonding company.
